In 1934 Antoon Heinen founded a chair factory called "Het Oosten" in Varsseveld, Holland, near to the German border. In 1949 the company Lundia was started to manufacture, a Scandinavian shelving system for the retail market. The success of the shelving system in commercial project founded the way for Lundiform and new company designed to concentrate on commercial market.
