This impressive hospital benefitted from the insight of the famous Dutch Architect, Bart Vos, who was responsible for the colourful interior, whilst the Dutch Architectural firm of Seed were responsible for the exterior.
This is the first hospital in the Netherlands to use so many colours. The philosophy behind this was that patient recovery would be quicker.
The new Martini Hospital building was constructed in the industrial 'van Swieten' area and is formed of modular sections (IFD) which allowed for an impressively quick build time. The Hospital itself was constructed within 2 years! Within the first year Lundiform were responsible for the Patient rooms, Treatment Rooms, Reception & other counters and Waiting Rooms. The Laboratory was completed later.
Lundiform remains the Main Supplier and currently provides the interiors for all Departmental new concepts.
